And as a new years gift (is that a thing?) the mister got me this gorgeous tea pot… which I enjoyed with the new Kusmi tea I bought… love finding new tea brands. They are a tea company with their HQ in Paris. They primarily produce Russian-style teas and tea blends but also have a black and green line too.
Check out these cool elbow pads on this Zara Rib Knit Cardi…
And then some burgers and mulled wine at Poco Loco. They do great burgers for around 5-7 euros a pop. Best value in the valley most definitely.
Now, every new years eve needs a killer outfit right? Well it’s too cold for dresses, and no heels for me as slipping on the snow & breaking my neck is so over-rated.
THANKFULLY my Christmas present to myself arrived, so I had new make up from Sephora to put my NYE face on.
I started with my new Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer. You use it under your foundation and it really provides a soft and smooth great base. Then I used Garnier BB cream as my foundation, mixed in with a bit of Nars Illumintor in Laguna.
For my eyes, I started with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer topped with my Sin and Smog from my Urban Decay Naked Palette, They also have a new one out, Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 and Urban Decay Naked Palette 3.
I rimmed my top lid with Stila Waterproof Liquid liner. I find this pen to be so easy to use and gives the dramatic look I like.
For mascara, I got to try out my new Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Big call right? Not sure I 100% agree, but it’s great none the less.
And for bottom lashes (yes apparently there is a mascara just for bottom lashes). Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara. I actually bought this by accident thinking it was normal mascara. But I will admit, it does give your bottom lashes a soft shape that doesn’t clump or look over-bearing.
For my brows, also new, I am happy with my new Lancome Eyebrow Pencil in 020.
Topped with my trusted fav Maybelline Sensational Vivids Lipstick – in Mandarin.
Turns out things book out on NYE, I only started to look for a booking the day before (yes for once I wasn’t organised), however, we managed to secure a dinner reservation at Casa Valerio. We’ve been here loads of times but it’s so good we didn’t mind.
After dinner, we headed off the main square where, as is tradition, to pop a bottle of champagne at the strike of midnight.
Happy New Year! Bonne année!
What did you do for yours?
