Did you like The Grand Canyon? It’s so damn cool.
The cool-ness doesn’t end here, in fact, I think Monument Valley trumps it.
But the journey didn’t start without some hiccups.
Our tour guide was kind enough to give us a sleep in until our new bus arrived at lunch time.
We all shuttle on, a bit grumpy, a bit sleepy.
We get 1km down the road. The replacement bus breaks down. Are you kidding me?
We go back to town. We all go to the pub.
Framed by scenic clouds casting shadows that graciously roam the desert floor. The angle of the sun accents these graceful formations, providing scenery that is simply spellbinding.
Some tid bits about Monument Valley:
- Located on the Arizona–Utah state line.
- It covers
- The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation.
We were booked in for a jeep tour. Which I would highly recommend. Here are a few companies.
It includes a jeep, lunch and if you’re lucky some native american entertainment and singing. This makes me happy….
All in all, it’s an absolute must-see when in USA.
The adventure continues:
