More Margaret River – Cowaramup Brewery {WA}

By June 6, 2014 Aussie Cities, Mid range, On a shoestring, Perth, Special occasion

The Margaret River region has so much to offer for everyone, not just wine lovers. There are more and more micro-breweries opening in the area that offer an alternative drinking experience to wine tasting.

One of my fiancée’s favourites is Cowaramup Brewery, but before I post about this brewery I think I should introduce you to the town of Cowaramup.

Cowaramup is a small country town south of the Dunsborough/Yallingup area and north of the town of Margaret River.

Can you guess where it got its name? That’s right – it’s the heartland of dairy and beef farming.

To pay homage to the town’s origin, there are cows spread all around town.

Literally throughout the town.

There are lots of cute little specialty stores – like this lolly shop where they make their own lollies on site – definitely somewhere to take the kids.

Like a kid in a candy store.

After you finish in the town – you should head to the Cowaramup Brewery. The brewery is nestled among the hilly farmland and is situated in a peaceful and relaxed setting for you to enjoy a beer and pizza.

It tasted as good as it looked!

The beer tasting paddle is the perfect way to taste your way through the different beers on the menu. For around $15 you can try five different Cowaramup brews.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at the Brewery too! I love pizza and this was a definite stand out in my pizza tasting experiences.

If you are a beer lover, or are looking for somewhere relaxed to have a nice feed with a nice view while in the area – you should head to the Cowaramup Brewery.

Cheers!

Cheers!

    It sure does have wine, sourced from local wineries!

    The pizza looked devine. Will have to put it on our list.
